Welcome

It is my great pleasure as president to invite you to participate in the 21st International Congress on Fibrinolysis and Proteolysis from 1–5 July 2012. The Congress will be held in the city of Brighton, which is a major conference destination on the south coast of England. Brighton is easily accessible by air (being close to Gatwick airport and less than an hour from London) by sea and rail (via the Channel Tunnel). The city has excellent conference facilities and is world renowned for its history, Regency architecture, beautiful South Downs countryside and sense of fun!

The Organising Committee of the 21st Congress of the ISFP are working hard to put together an exciting programme of science and events that will attract delegates from disciplines encompassing biochemistry, biophysics and biomedical research. Topics will be selected to cover basic research in the physiology of extracellular proteolysis and fibrinolysis through to diagnostic methods, drug development and other medical applications of interest to the ISFP.
